About Kleiner'82
Kleiner'82 was born in August 2016 in Herzliya, when Jud (Yehuda Schpitz) and I decided it was time to stop just missing the sound of the '80s and start making it ourselves. We both grew up on '80s new wave, on analog synthesizers and on that feeling of driving through a neon-lit city at night, and out of that came a simple idea: to bring our own voice to albums shaped by synth music and analog equipment.
That is how Miami Gateway arrived in 2017, followed by five more albums: Lost In Space, Electro Chromosphere, a collaboration with Synth Fellow Hawk on Arcadia Dreams, remixes of the C64 and Amiga tunes we loved, and finally Neon Dreams, released in April 2026.
In memory of Jud (Yehuda Schpitz), March 30, 2026
On March 30, 2026, Jud passed away. He was a close friend for more than twenty years, long before there was a Kleiner'82, and he was the one who founded this project with me. It's hard to put into words how much his presence, his support and his friendship meant to me over the years. I lost someone who was truly like family. Neon Dreams is dedicated to him.
Jud, thank you for everything. For the music, for the moments, and for the unforgettable ride we had together with Kleiner'82 and much more.
